Jonathan A. Kidney is Of Counsel in the San Diego Office. Mr. Kidney specializes in representing hi-technology clients in the electrical and mechanical sciences.

Having worked with several large law firms in the D.C. area, Mr. Kidney assisted various FORTUNE 100 companies, preparing and prosecuting patent applications covering wireless systems, radar and antenna design, computer networking, software/business methods, printers, automobiles, micro-fuel cells, semiconductors, power systems, and medical devices. Mr. Kidney has proxied as in-house IP counsel and assisted in infringement analysis, due diligence, portfolio valuation, and trademark/trade dress/copyright-based product protection strategies.

Prior to Mr. Kidney's entry into the legal profession, he enjoyed over 12 years working in diverse fields such as: a software/algorithm engineer analyzing spacecraft antennas with the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.; an off-shore oil field logging engineer using proprietary radioactive-sonic-mechanical-electromagnetic measurement tools with Schlumberger in Louisiana; a radar/RADHAZ/EMI project engineer with the U.S. Navy's SPAWAR division in South Carolina; an adjunct professor at Tri-County College in South Carolina; and a high school math and physics teacher in Kiev, Ukraine.
